Day 17 – Cormorant at sunset

Ever since I first came to Washington State in 1979, I have been fascinated with these wonderful ungainly birds. Unlike most waterbirds, they do not have oil glands,
and when they fish, they look like they are star gazing. There are always cormorants around at Seward Park, and that’s where I saw this guy.
This painting measures 8″ x 11″ and is on 300 pound paper. IT IS SOLD. All money goes to endangered species conservation. Fortunately Cormorants are not endangered.
