\nIt’s not often that I paint places that I’ve not seen with my own eyes; but I’ve had a snapshot of this ever since Donald went to Alaska without me. It was one of my tiny regrets, I could have taken a day or two of vacation and gone with him, but I hesitated, and what I got instead was the photo reference.
\nI saved it in my “someday maybe I’ll be brave enough to paint this” file.
\nIt wasn’t easy, this is my 5th try. This painting reminds me that there are still places I’d like to see. It measures 11″ x 14″ and is painted on fine Arches paper.
