\nI painted Seattle’s distinctive skyline, trying to catch the feeling of the giant edifices there. I gave the Smith Tower prominence in my painting but if you didn’t know where to look, you would probably not even notice it. The Smith Tower, the small white building in the foreground, was built in 1914 and was the tallest office building west of the Mississippi for many years. It remained the tallest building on the west coast of the USA until the Space Needle was built in 1962 for the World’s Fair. This painting is for sale, $150.00 buys this 7″ x 10″ hand painted watercolor. All proceeds go towards endangered species conservation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
