Being a cyclist and an artist, I am often possessed by the desire to paint a bicycle but am frustrated because the perfect circles and straight lines on a bike are not easy to do with watercolors. This was an attempt to combine the transparency of watercolor yet not lose the engineering marvels of the bicycle. This is a loose interpretation of Katrina, my husband’s custom bike. I wanted to show the lines, not the exact colors or details.<\/p>\n
