Washington Pass, in the North Cascades Range of Eastern Washington is 5477 feet high. It is dramatic and gorgeous. It was very inspirational, and once again I tried to paint a landscape. Happily, it looks like I succeeded. A certain set of determined cyclists like to ride up that ramp (followed by switch backs) to achieve the ultimate rush, getting to the top of a mile high mountain. You can’t see him in the picture, but my husband was on this road that day reaching for the sky. SOLD
