Washington Pass – North Cascades Range

Washington Pass, in the North Cascades Range of Eastern Washington is 5477 feet high. It is dramatic and gorgeous. It was very inspirational, and once again I tried to paint a landscape. Happily, it looks like I succeeded. A certain set of determined cyclists like to ride up that ramp (followed by switch backs) to achieve the ultimate rush, getting to the top of a mile high mountain. You can’t see him in the picture, but my husband was on this road that day reaching for the sky.

What an inviting painting!… so cool… I also like your ‘Elliott Bay’… and ‘Grazzano Visconti’… really cool

You have captured what looks like a picturesque place. Very scenic and can imagine the rush riding around such a place.

Your watercolour landscapes like your portraits are getting better all the time.

Can’t wait to see what your impending Italian trip sees you painting when you get back. This is a great appetiser and preview for what is to come.

Ah, Mauro mi sembri come un uomo con bel senso invece di qualcuno come mio marito, pazzo per la bici.

Is that gorgeous. Sure i wouldn’t see me riding up there – but i wouldn’t mind a walk. Beautiful place.
