The Jive Cats

Inspired by a beautiful photograph taken by Russell Lee for the Farm Security Administration in 1938, I painted this as a companion piece to “He sure can play that guitar”
This painting was sold and will be living in Athens, Georgia with two of my dearest friends.

Hi Mimi, What a wonderful companion piece this is to your other painting I remember so well, “He sure can play that guitar”. Both delightful watercolours capturing a bygone era of simple pleasures and music to fill your soul! Congratulations on the sale also!!
Great to hear your news and to see you are still working hard.
