Sersale – the Milicurcio tree in San Pasquale Plaza

sersaletreeI had a wonderful time in Sersale. I am using my paints to help preserve my memories. Sersale is really a small town. But they have this huge tree. I imagine in the summertime, it’s the only place to go to get out of the sun. There is a little cafe there right behind the tree. Their tables are in a coveted spot. When it’s cooler out, however,  men all bask in the sun in front of the church while cars circle around looking for a parking space.

  1. I hugged this tree when i visited Sersale last week. Surely my grandfather, Antonio Scarpino played under it. He was born in Sersale 1885. Thanks Mimi for preserving it! What wonderful paintings!
