Seattle View

I stepped out of the Seattle Art Museum the other day and noticed people had their cellphones out, and were snapping photos. I turned to look and could see the brilliant clarity of cloudlessness on the horizon behind the Smith Tower. I pulled out my sketch book to help me keep this view in my head. I already knew before I was done that I was going to have to paint this; and here it is.

  1. So every one pulled out what they got , lucky you had the sketchbook :-))) It IS very beautiful, you made an awesome painting !

  2. This painting has some magic; it looks like a record of one of those special moments when everything seems to stand still for a while in a perfect composition – just to let someone make a great painting.
