Lucia revisited

It seems that by using wet on wet, Lucia looks more like the Lucy we all knew. She still looks a little too old, but the face is finally hers, at least seems like it to me. I tried to use colors that looked ancient, after all, this is from a 90 year old photograph of a young girl just a few years after she had moved to the USA.

Mimi, this is beautiful. I believe I’ve seen this photo in black and white, but I was quite taken aback by seeing it in color. It really brings her alive. Beautiful.

Mimi! Thanks so much for the sunshine award!
I have to say I that Lucia’s painting is very intriguing! She has the ineresting mix of reservations, fear and boldness in her eyes… She does look older but that is fine… I like her all the more!

  3. I like this new technique of yours. It does look like a redo of an ancient picture, so you’ve hit the mark again!
