The hardest thing for me to do as an artist is to try to catch a likeness from an old scratchy photograph. I actually only had the negative, but thanks to modern technology, I was at least able to make a positive copy from the negative with my scanner. Three attempts later, I feel like I’ve almost captured a likeness of him. 1971 is such a long time ago!
